One of my favourite YSL Fragrances has got to be YSL Parisienne. It’s one of my beloved fragrances that went bye-bye when we moved from Durban to Jozi. There are still days when I long for it. But I’m one of “those girls”. You know the type *insert perfume hoarder emoji here*, when you want a fragrance, but then wonder if you really NEED it all that badly because you’ve had it and loved it before, and maybe it’s time to try something new?
I don’t know, maybe I’m alone with this?
I was so excited for the YSL MON PARIS launch. Although different in both looks and scent to the Parisienne scent, it’s still got that very Paris thing going on. I knew I would love it. And I do!

Crisp as a smoking jacket, as flowing as a pussy-bow blouse, the luminous Mon Paris is a precise balancing act between sex and sensuality that inverts the classic chypre fragrance structure. An exercise in fluidity and control, it is as spell-binding and eclectic as the force of love that inspires it.
YSL MON PARIS The Notes
The top notes give you a blast of joyfulness with a wide variety of fruity, zesty and airy aqueous notes. Think Strawberry, Raspberry, Pear, Calabrian Bergamot, Calone, Orange and Tangerine. For me the strongest profile was the strawberry note – the kind you get when you bite into a fresh, perfectly ripe strawberry.
The middle notes have a sweet, narcotic effect with white Datura flowers, Peony, Orange Blossom and a double dose of Jasmine with the inclusion of Jasmine Sambac and Chinese Jasmine.
And finally, the dry down notes comprise of glorious cedar and musk with a double dose of Patchouil. The base note breakdown for YSL MON PARIS is Indonesian Patchouli Leaf, White Musk, Ambroxan, Patchouli, Cedar, Moss and Vanilla.
