Beauty Scoop – Olay Regenerist Daily Thermal Skin Polisher

I have been using Olay Regenerist Thermal Skin Polisher as my cleanser for a couple of weeks now and my skin loves it! Apart from the smell, which is very clean and fresh, with an almost “candy like” scent, this cleanser earns top points in my beauty books.

OLAYREG2

I suffer from a fairly sensitive skin and I have to be very careful with what cleanser I use. But this one was very gentle and left my skin feeling clean and cared for, and yes it did feel polished too! :). It has micro beads which give you skin a gentle exfoliation too.

The Olay Regenerist Thermal Skin Polisher is also self-heating, and when smoothed on the face with a little water, feels fantastically warm and very comforting. The secret of this thermal system is said to cleanse the skin down to the pores, and so far so good as my skin is squeaky clean.

I must also say that this was my first experience with Olay, and certainly not my last. I will only ever use certain brands of skincare and this is one of them!

I’ve been a fan of Olay Regenrist for a couple of years now but I’m not a fan of microbeads in a cleanser as they always manage to get into my eyes somehow. I like my cleanser to remove my make-up, do you remove your make up with make up remover while using this cleanser?

    Hi Taryn

No, no, no that product should not be used around the eye area. In fact, I think it says so on the back. I found that a lot of cleansers don’t recommend using them for the eye area as this area is very sensitive and the skin is much more delicate so you need to be very careful.

What I do, is use the Almay eye makeup remover pads to remove my my eye makeup first. They are fabulous and very effective with just one swipe (http://www.stylescoop.co.za/?p=3556) I also use the Almay makeup remover sheets or the Estee Lauder ones currently to remove the rest of my makeup. They work well for the eyes too, but when I do heavy eye makeup then the Almay Eye Pads are the ones I use first, then the remover tissues.

The other option is to use an eye makeup remover (Revlon has a great one) and some cotton wool to remove your eye makeup first and then wash you face with the cleanser.

    Hope this helps 🙂
