La Vie Est Belle… Life is Beautiful

This February, American film director, James Gray and Julia Roberts team up for Lancôme to reveal a new chapter in the story of La vie est belle, in a beautiful film that portrays happiness. A cinematic delight that embodies the possibilities of the infectious smile…

And whose smile could be more infectious than Julia Roberts? She has always been one of my favourite Hollywood starlettes. As a kid, I was obsessed with her in Mystic Pizza and obviously Pretty Woman. She has that likeable, bubbly personality, fun attitude and of course, that million dollar smile! A smile that lights up so brightly, it makes you want to share in her joy! So, who better than Hollywood’s favourite girl next door to embody the Lancôme La Vie Est Belle woman!

Keep an eye out, as I’ll be posting this lovely, inspiring film with you gals this month (with a teaser coming your way later this week), but first, I have to mention my favourite La Vie Est Belle scent from the collection so far…

Of course it’s La Vie Est Belle L’Eau De Parfum Intense! I adore this fragrance because its fun, preppy and just plain beautiful. It’s like happiness in a bottle, with a beautiful ribbon tied to it.

The scent alone lifts my mood, probably because the composition is inspired by a famous French dessert made of cream and hazelnuts, and I won’t lie, sweet treats always make me smile! Then, there’s the jasmine note in the heart that I just love. A bouquet of fresh tuberose, combined with a sweet gourmand blend and hazelnuts.

It’s delightful. Modern, pretty and a scent that inspires happiness.

As a special treat to inspire joy or lift your mood, today I’m sharing a little preview of the new Lancôme La Vie Est Belle film as an illustrated story. A tale of unfolding happiness, that shows  how one happy woman altered the moods of those around her, even if they were somewhat reserved or closed off.

Which just goes to show, happiness inspires happiness and La Vie Est Belle, which by the way translates to “Life is Beautiful” is a perfect reminder to always keep your spirits high. Even if it means making a conscious decision to smile and choose to be happy. Because being happy is the key to a more beautiful life, for you and those around you.

A beautiful smiling woman rises in the middle of a dinner in a grand and coldly formal room…

She moves towards an unknown destination with the other guests naturally following in her wake – the power of charisma and conviction…

There is an obstacle before her – a wall that disintegrates into diamond dust as she touches it. A sparkling rain that falls to the ground to discover a new place. We see an elegant evening and an equally elegant crowd. Is this what she’s searching for? Maybe….

Not quite, maybe, in spite of the palpable joy and the warmer ambiance. Radiant, she dazzles the guests and invites them with an infectious smile to follow her, determined to continue on her quest…

A second wall falls when touched by the palm of her hand. The ultimate liberation….

An ending, but like a beginning. We see a garden looking out over the sparkling pink Paris sky and the Eiffel Tower. We witness the joyful tranquillity of a summer night. Light bursts from the chandeliers hanging from branches. We witness joy of dancing and being together. How can we resist happiness that is never better or more intense than when shared?

Stay tuned for the teaser to discover more…

I adore Lancome La vie est belle – I think mine is the first one, so definitely going to try the Intense version when I need a new fix.
