My wishlist this month is probably my smallest one yet! I don’t know if it’s because I’m still undecided on the season ahead (and what I want to wear), or if I just haven’t been out enough to “see what’s out there”. It could also be that I’ve become a super smart shopper; trying to spend my hard earned cash on things that I really, really, really want and could make use of.

Due South Military Gilet

I’ve been on the hunt for one of these military-style army green gilets for the longest time, and finally, I have found THE ONE! Spotted at Due South (R799), this twill gilet is everything!

Perfect colour, perfect fit, perfect length, perfect detailing (love the epaulet detail and drawstring).

It’s such an easy, everyday item that can be worn literally, 101 ways!

How cute would it look with black jeans, combat boots and little striped top underneath? Perfect for Autumn layering and a piece that could quite easily work in Winter (over a cozy polo neck sweater) or even in summer, over a little summer dress and sandals.

SPANX Leggings

Recently, I got to try out SPANX leggings and am now completely hooked. In fact, I think SPANX Leggings have ruined me for life. I simply can’t find another pair of leggings, that look as good as these (and trust me, I’ve looked), which really sucks, because SPANX Leggings are pretty pricey.

But oh so worth it! I got the faux leather black pair and they not only look incredible on (with zero bumps, lumps or lines showing through them – YAY), but they are so comfy that I don’t want to wear anything else!

I wore mine on my last day in Prague, to check out the Prague Castle and then flew back home (on a 12 hour flight) in the exact same pair. I had them on from about 6am that morning to explore, until I got back home, at around 10am the following day.

They were so comfortable and perfect to travel in. Now, as much as I am obsessed with the faux leather ones (which are still IMO the best I’ve ever seen, tried or had), I’ve now got my eye on the SPANX Jean-ish Leggings (also R2118).

You can’t believe how a pair of pants can transform your legs until you try on a pair of SPANX leggings! I was sceptical at first, because even with jeans, I get funny stripes at the back of my thigh, but man oh man, these leggings are the bees knees!

Chanel CC Cream

If I had to choose only one makeup product, Chanel CC Cream would be it! I recently ran out of my precious Chanel CC cream and have been justifying if it’s worth it to get another. It absolutely is!

Even though I get to play with a lot of makeup products (being one part beauty blogger), this is still one product that I would go out and buy myself!

Sure it’s pricey (the last time I checked it was well over R1000) but when you consider that it’s a skincare, primer, anti-ageing, foundation and sun care product all rolled into one, it kind of makes sense.

Of all the CC creams, the Chanel one is so amazing, that I would choose it over any foundation product as well!

It covers my skin flawlessly, and reflects so beautifully to give my skin that natural, glowy finish. It even does a fantastic job at blurring out my discolouration (thanks Melasma!) and leaves my skin looking like skin, just more beautiful!

Country Road Shannon Shootie

Is it strange that I don’t own a single pair of pointy heels? Don’t get me wrong, I love a sexy, pointy shoe, but I have yet to find one that actually feels comfortable and flatters my foot. Until now!

I spotted these gorgeous Shannon Shootie’s at Country Road (R1599) and now I just can’t stop thinking about them.

Unlike a lot of pointy shoes I’ve tried on in the past, these are so well made. The toe box is wide enough to accommodate my foot and they don’t squash or deform my toes. They are super soft, made from 100% leather, including leather lining (YAY), and the heel height is perfect to wear them day or night.

Also mildly obsessed with the cut out detail!
