In The Light
I finally got my hands on the amazing “In The Light” eye shadow palette from Stila, and boy do I love it! Just about every beauty blogger has raved about it, and it was actually sold out in South Africa, so I couldn’t even get my hands on it. Thankfully the lovely ladies at Stila SA sent me one as soon as it arrived back in the country, and I haven’t been able to put it down since! It’s been my go-to makeup palette for the past week or so and I’m sure it will stick around for much longer! The palette consists of 10 absolutely amazing colours, plus a waterproof smudge stick. There is a combination of solid shades as well as shimmer shadows. But don’t think cheap and nasty shimmer – the shimmer shadow pigments are tightly packed, so you don’t get big blobs of shimmer on your eye lid, but rather a smooth, silky effect. All of the shades are highly pigmented and on application there is very little fall out. They also stay put all day! ON BOARD! Beauty Products To Keep In Your Carry-On
I have a confession to make! I’m an over-packer, and I tend to haul hundreds of things with me on holiday. You know, for those “just in case” moments! But I’m getting smarter! This time when I fly (holiday time again, yay!), I’ve carefully thought out what beauty products to bring with me on the plane. I’ve narrowed it down to eight travel beauty essentials that don’t take up too much space, and will help me look fresh and wide awake when I step off the plane. Giovanni D:tox I received this awesome pack of travel-sized skin-care products from Giovanni. The D:Tox kit includes a Purifying Facial Cleanser, Facial Scrub, Replenishing Facial Moisturizer and a Purifying Facial Mask, all nicely packaged in a TSA compliant clear bag. That way I can just hop on a plane and not worry about airport officials emptying out my luggage (embarrassing). I probably wont use the mask and scrub on the plane (that could be kinda scary!), but I will probably end up using the cleanser and moisturizer. Barely There! Foundation Cover That Looks Natural
Gone are the days of caking your face! Girls have smartened up to looking flawless with minimal foundation! And the brands are helping us perfect our face with lightweight, barely there foundation that looks natural! For the past couple of months I’ve been using lighter foundations than usual. Because of my pigmentation, I prefer full coverage, but have managed to get great finishes with these products. The BB creams have been rolling in, and I have reviewed a couple of them, but for today’s post, I’ll mention only the newer ones that I haven’t featured before. Beauty Bytes – Fab New Makeup Goodies
Here’s a quick beauty byte on some of the amazing new makeup goodies I’ve been playing with recently. Tried, Tested and LOVED (as always)! Woolworths Makeup Wink, Wink, Blush, Blush! Woolies have launched an exciting new range of makeup that’s bang on trend and budget friendly! Some of the goodies I got to try: WINK Eyeshadow trio (R49.95) and BLUSH lip & cheek tint (R49.95). The eyeshadow I got to play with, Khol Maybe is absolutely stunning. I’m in love with the burgundy shade on the right and the khaki green on the left is also gorgeous. A great combo for winter! These WINK shadows are highly pigmented and great for adding metallic colour to your lids. In general I don’t like using the applicators that come with compacts, and prefer to use my MAC 217 blending brush to create a blended shade and my MAC 239 brush to pack on the colour. You can even amp up the intensity of these shadows by dipping your 239 brush in a drop of water before packing on the colour. This will make your eyes pop! The BLUSH lip and cheek tint is a lovely cream blush that diffuses effortlessly on the cheeks and adds a perfect pop of colour to your lips.…

Say Hello To My New Favourite Foundation from Stila and other fab Goodies
Stila is one of two international makeup ranges that is new to South Africa, and I for one am super excited that they are finally here! I’m a huge beauty vlogger stalker addict on Youtube, which means I’ve heard so much about this brand already and always been a little jealous that I couldn’t get to try out any of the products that the beauty gurus rave about.Stila being one of them.
