Nothing can quite compare to being in a room, filled with sunglasses! I mean, it’s a dangerous place for a sunglass addict like me to roam free, but at the same time, it feels so right! I got a chance to take a peek at the new sunglass styles coming our way from all the fabulous Luxottica brands at their recent Buyers’ Days… So let’s start with some beauts from Dolce & Gabbana… Dolce & Gabbana know how to do wow! I mean WOW! Those first shades… gorgeous and very typically Dolce & Gabanna! I love the second and third pic too! Leopard Print is a true Dolce & Gabbana signature, while the polka dotty shades, have me singing, itsy bitsy tiny weeny polka dot bikini… (just change it from yellow to red okay!) And then there was Prada… Prada’s are my fave sunglasses. Sunglass Obsession
I am obsessed with many few things in life! But, one of my ultimate obsessions is sunglasses and accessories and shoes and handbags and clothes and makeup. I’m constantly trying on new styles, and although I have not nearly enough more than enough pairs of beautiful shades, I could always do with more! I like most styles; aviators, oversized, round, square and classic pairs and I like to mix them up depending on what I’m wearing, or how I feel. A lot of the times, a certain pair is comfortable at one stage or another, and I usually carry those in my handbag and end up wearing them. Usually when it’s time to pick out a new pair, I’ll have two or three options that are my faves, and I spend quite a while deciding on which ones to get. Right now, I am in love with my Versace oversized sunnies, with their gorgeous starfish embellishment on the temple and my Versace Aviators. For my run around pair, that is versatile for any occasion (as well as lazing on the beach), I would say my Prada folding sunnies are my fave. Pay attention kids, today’s lesson is all about the Anatomy of Sunglasses… Do you refer to the bits and pieces that make up glasses or sunglasses using all the wrong terms? I remember once referring to the temples as “arms” and I got the strangest look! Has this happened to you? A couple of weeks ago, Luxottica posted a Facebook update, illustrating the “anatomy of glasses“. I loved this, and being a freak for sunglasses, I wanted to do my own, StyleScoop version using my new Aviators, baby! If you’re fellow sunglass freak like me, you should at least know the proper terminology when talking about sunglasses. That way we can all understand each other and sound as larney as we look in our shades 🙂 So these are my new VERSACE Aviator sunglasses. Remember I spoke about how much I was lusting after these shades after they stole my heart at the Luxottica Day back in April? Well, they are now mine baby! And I love everything about them! These are also my first pair of Polarized lenses. Now, I can totally understand why my husband insisted on getting Polarized Oakleys as opposed to the normal ones! Products That Rocked 2012! Ray-Ban Aviators
The sunglass style that will never go out of style! This year, I’ve practically lived in my Ray-Ban Aviator sunglasses! They are both so easy to wear and match every kind of style and outfit. I change between these two styles; the classic Metal Frame Aviators, which I took with me on my trip Greece/ Dubai, and then my most recent pair, the Semi-Rimless Aviators. I love both of them equally, and although they are both “aviators”, they look completely different! One of the things I have really enjoyed with my Aviators besides having top quality lenses to protect my eyes, is that Ray-Ban aviators come with super small, flat and compact cases, which fit so easily into handbags or the centre console in your car etc! The Metal Frame Aviators with gold frames and brown lenses were my first pair of Ray-Ban Aviators. These are very retro – and I love the look.
