What I shopped at Retail Box

Shopping for your hair can now be done from the comfort of your couch thanks to the convenience of RETAIL BOX.

It really sucks not being able to find professional hair products that you read about on blogs (like StyleScoop) or see in magazines. I know, when Moroccanoil first launched in South Africa, I got hundreds of queries on where to find it. Two years later, and I still get asked.

I have really fine hair and one of my biggest concerns, since I have a lot of it, is that it tangles like mad! Sometimes it’s almost unbearable!

So naturally, I wanted to find products that would help me tackle the tangles!

The little navigation feature on the left of the RETAIL BOX online store was a real godsend. All I did was clicked on the little “+” next to shampoo and selected “fine” from the drop down menu. I was instantly given a list of professional hair products, suited to my hair type.

After considering some of the products, I decided to go for Kérastase Bain Cristal Cheveux Fins Luminous Perfecting Shampoo for Fine Hair. I’ve been using it for a week now and love how soft and weightless it leaves my hair!

For conditioner, I selected the category de-tangling and from the recommended list I picked Paul Mitchell The Detangler.

I used a Paul Mitchell detangling spray ages ago and really loved it. The Detangler, although not a spray, works wonders and I am able to easily comb my hair without too much effort after washing it.

The last product I added to my cart was Moroccanoil Light Oil Treatment for Fine Hair. This stuff is amazing!

I was given a bottle at the launch, that I basically used every day for nearly two years! You use such a small amount and get such a massive result, so it’s really one of those products that is worth the splurge! I also realised that it’s a hair product I cannot live without!

My order was delivered to my door by courier and I liked that they included “little spoils”, like sachet samples and mini tubes of treatments to try. These are often a great way to get introduced to a product you might not have considered before.
