LANVIN Me – Fragrance Review

How lovely is this fragrance? Even the box design has a gorgeous golden bow, you just can’t wait to open it up!

This is also my very first sniff of LANVIN and I likey a lot! LANVIN ME is the girliest fragrance, and you will want to add to your collection!

It’s carefree and playful, with lots of personality and sparkle!

The fragrance is vibrant and bubbly – the perfect match for women who want to embrace the girly girl inside, yet keep their grown up sophistication … It’s kind of like what StyleScoop does for your soul, Lanvin ME does for your senses.

It’s sweet, but not in a sickening candy kind of way.

I like to smell and “experience” a fragrance before reading the press release. I guess I first want to draw my own conclusions without being swayed by sexy copy!

So, when I first smelt this one, I immediately thought of Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

I picture a girl with a great smile, bouncy hair with a spring in her step, walking the streets with energy and enthusiasm. She has a smile that lights up her face, and a naughty giggle that brightens her sparkling eyes.

I also see her in a pastel blue tutu! I guess I kind of have a mix of SJP (Sex and The City) in a Breakfast at Tiffany’s scene stuck in my head.

After doing some reading, I was pretty close. With this fragrance, Alber Elbaz (Lanvin’s Artistic Director since 2001) envisaged Lanvin ME as an object of desire to decorate and complete Lanvin shop windows.

It’s pretty, yet simplistic with all the right elements to spark your interest.

From pretty packaging, to a lovely scent inside!

My overall impression of this scent was energetic. I found the zesty citrus and blubbery top notes to be very prominent. After a while, I could smell a light liquorice scent which lingered into a woody base.

I adore it!

The complete olfactory pyramid has top notes of Mandarin Orange and BlueBerry, heart notes of Liquorice, Tuberose and Rose Absolu, and finishes with base notes of Sandalwood and Black Wood.

The tagline for this fragrance is “be myself, become ME” – A perfect fit for this pretty perfume!
