Happy Wednesday pretties!
I’ve been sneaking snaps of my new desk space into my Instagram, and I can tell you guys are super excited about seeing it.
So, today I’ve got the full post for ya, with links to all the posters, PLUS my free, printable wall-art quote, so stick around…
Over the years (and the moves), my office has undergone many transformations.
First it was funky, then it was fresh, and now it’s all glam and gold, inspired by this this post.
I wanted a pretty workspace and I really wanted a trestle desk. So over the holidays my hubby was hard at work, making me this gorgeous and very spacious studio desk.
I still have my office downstairs, with our massive desk that I share with the hubz, but this little spot that’s completely separate, is my own little happy space.
For the decor, I wanted to keep the walls clean with just a touch of pretty, and after destroying the wall in my last office (seriously it was a hot mess under the gallery wall), I didn’t really want to hang anything.
So I took my very old pin board, and give it a new look by painting the cork white and the frame gold.
I love the result of my “wall board”. It came out beautiful, with a texture that looks and feels like a “real” plastered wall.
Then to prettify it…
I had these gorgeous wooden stag heads that I screwed into my wall board and sprayed the tips of the one dudes’ antlers with a touch of gold.
I used the frames I had from my previous office and replaced them with golden wall art. I download the Pineapple print here, and the Ampersand was from Typo, which I just sprayed gold.
On New Years’ Eve, I saw this quote, “Live by the Sun, Love by the Moon” and fell in love with it, so I made my own print to add to my wall board.
And because I love you guys so much, you can download my printable here for free. If you do, I’d love to see how you’ve styled it on your wall. Share your pics on social media and include me “@stylescoop” (Instagram, Facebook or Twitter) or comment below with the link so I can see 🙂
The “Get Shit Done” poster is a free desktop wallpaper that I modified to fit into an A4 frame, and the wishbone, is a free printable that you can download here.
Then just a few exposed wood and gold desk accessories…
And my gold skull which I’ve had for ages. He was originally a bright and very shiny gold, but I gave him a spray, and viola – new skull to add to my ever growing skull obsession collection.
I don’t share this space with the hubz, but I often have to share with this guy! Tyson, my adorable Rottie that pretty much sits under my desk all day.
I know, right… Cuteness doesn’t get better than this!
Well that’s it guys, I hope you enjoyed sneaking a peek at my office and I hope that it’s inspired you to make your workspace a little more glam and prettier.
If you’re looking for the best gold spray paint in the history of the universe,
Rust-Oleum Metallic Specialty spray paint is the shizz! I was a little scared when I saw how GOLD the lid was, but over wood and even my ceramic gold skull, the gold came out this muted, gorgeous shade that looks amazing!
And if you plan on giving the painted mood board a try, Dulux PearlGlo in “Bright White” is my fave white paint. It’s a great paint for wood as well (I used it to paint my shoe shelves and dresser) – who knows, when I get bored of my natural wood desk, I may just paint the legs white….
One last look at my space… off to work I go, in a whole lotta prettiness!
Ciao!

PS the gold stag head on my MAC Book’s Desktop is another freebie. And you can download it here…
