Makeup to make you sparkle

Add some gorgeous sparkle to your palette this winter with pretty sparkles, perky pinks and soft golds.  Check out my my favourite, tried and tested beauty products…

1. My new favourite eye shadow for day and night wear is Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eye Shadow in Ballet.   Before you go “ahh another shimmer” this product is very different, you just have to try it to see what I mean.  It gives you really long lasting, sensational sparkle, not shimmer. Be quick though because it’s a limited edition and they are selling fast! (R200)
2. Rimmel London has these great mono colour shadows that work well together.  Prepare your lids with Colour Rush Romance (R44.95) a slightly shimmered white shade and layer with
3. Colour Rush Spun Gold (R45.94) .  It gives your lids a really nice, natural looking gold finish without the intense brassiness.
4. Estee Lauder Pink Sand Signature Lipstick provides just enough of a pink tint to perk up your lips and give them a great, sheer layer, that doesn’t even need gloss (R210).
5. I love these multi coloured blush compacts from MAC. This one is from the Grand Duos collection – Mini Blush in Moon River.  A great mix that results in gorgeous colour.
6. Keep the sparkle all the way to your finger tips with Estee Lauder Pink Clouds Pure Colour Nail Lacquer .  Its pretty colour that lasts long, is totally chip free and looks sensational for fingers and toes (R265).
7. If you want pink tinted lips look no further than MAC Shadestick in Red Velvet.  It provides solid colour that sticks (140).
8. Add some shimmer and highlight your face (and even your cleavage) with Benefit Miss Popularity.  No makeup bag should be with out this magic dust (R250).
9. Trust MAC to come up with the coolest Gloss yet.  The Sugar Sweet Tricolour Lip Glass in Just Dessert is my favourite.  It’s pumped with three complimenting shades that mix together for high shine lips that look natural and oh-so-kissable (R145).
10. Mix five super sexy shades and you get one super super sexy result.  Check  out the Bobbi Brown Platinum Pink Shimmer Brick (R420), definitely a product for your lust list.
11. For perky, yet natural cheeks try  Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Plum.  It is the perfect product for rosy, girly cheeks (R94.95).
12. Another great lip colour for enhanced, natural lips, check out Estee Lauder Signature Lipstick in Rose Honey (R210).

The collection was created for Spring 2009, and in keeping with International trends, it launched in South Africa around February this year.  These shades are gorgeous for winter, and you can keep wearing them when Spring comes around too.  So, if you can find them at the counters, get em quick as it’s a limited edition and no doubt, selling fast.
